Transformer Positioning 16/11/2013

Mechanical Movements had a very challenging job to undertake @ Harbour Exchange.
Our client had a 6000 kg transformer which needed to travel up a car park ramp into the building.
The problem we had to tackle was load bearing, using steel plates to spread the weight and underpinning the ramp that helped solve this problem.
Once the transformer was lifted to the ramp (with our mobile crane) we attached 2 electric hoists to pull the unit up until we were on level ground.
Once we were on level ground we were able to maneuver the unit into a suitable position ready to float onto our steel lifting plate.
Once the transformer was in position and strapped down we were able to jack the complete lifting plate up to the required level ready to wheel the unit into final position.
This was a challenging job that Mechanical Movements were successful at completing. Our employees worked hard and deserve a big thank you for all of their hard work and dedication on this project. The client was left with an excellent impression of what Mechanical Movements had achieved.
